By Pst. Williams ChurchillFebruary 26, 2026

When someone we love is in trouble, our hearts feel the weight before our minds can process it.

A prayer for a loved one in trouble places them into God’s capable hands when we cannot reach them ourselves.

Prayer For a Loved One in Trouble

    1. Psalm 46:1 (ESV)

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Lord, be their refuge right now.

Trouble can feel like a storm closing in quickly. You remain a steady shelter when circumstances grow fierce.

Pray that they run toward God instead of away. Ask the Lord to surround them with immediate protection and strength.

    2. Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)

Fear not, for I am with you.

Pray for supernatural intervention. Ask God to create a clear path out of difficulty.

    4. Proverbs 21:1 (ESV)

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord.

    7. Psalm 55:22 (ESV)

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you.

    12. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
