30 Prayer for Breakfast With Scriptures to Back

After the resurrection, some of the disciples went back to fishing, unsure what came next. Jesus appeared on the shore at dawn, called out for them to cast their net on the other side, and when they came in with a catch too heavy to haul, they found he’d already started a fire with fish cooking and bread ready. He didn’t lecture them first. He fed them breakfast.

These thirty verses are for that same ordinary, gracious start to a day, a meal shared before anything else gets discussed.

Pray these over your table this morning, and let breakfast be a small, deliberate moment of gratitude before the day’s demands take over.

Prayer for Breakfast

“When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread… Jesus said to them, 'Come and have breakfast.'”

Let this meal be as simple and gracious as that one on the shore.

Feed us before the day’s demands take over.

Conclusion

The breakfast on the shore wasn’t a grand miracle meant to impress a crowd. It was Jesus quietly feeding a handful of tired, uncertain friends before saying anything else to them. Sometimes provision comes first, and the harder conversation follows after.

If mornings in general feel like the hardest part of your day, the prayer for morning pairs well with this list.

For gratitude around the table more broadly, the prayer for dinner and the prayer for food are good companions to return to at other meals throughout the day.
