30 Prayer for Complete Healing With Scriptures to Back

A man lay by the pool at Bethesda for thirty-eight years, hoping for healing that never quite arrived in time. Jesus asked him one direct question, “Do you want to get well?” and then healed him completely, on the spot, no gradual improvement, no partial fix.

These thirty verses are for asking not just for relief, but for healing that actually goes all the way through.

Pray these expecting the whole thing, not just enough to get by.

Prayer for Complete Healing

1. John 5:6-9 (KJV)

“When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.”

Prayer: Yes, Lord, I want to get well, completely, not just partway.

Let this healing be as immediate and total as it was for him.

2. Mark 5:34 (KJV)

“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”

Prayer: Let me go in peace, freed from this suffering entirely.

Let freedom here be complete, not just reduced.

3. Luke 8:43-48 (KJV)

“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”

Prayer: Let this stop immediately, the way her bleeding did the moment she touched You.

Let this be as sudden and thorough as it was for her.

4. Matthew 8:13 (KJV)

“And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.”

Prayer: Let this be healed that very hour, the way the centurion’s servant was.

Let this not drag out longer than it needs to.

5. Matthew 9:22 (KJV)

“But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.”

Prayer: Let healing happen from this moment on, complete and lasting.

Let this moment be the actual turning point, not just a step.

6. Psalms 103:2-3 (KJV)

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;”

Prayer: You heal ALL my diseases, not just some of them. Let that word mean what it says.

Let nothing be left out of this healing.

7. Jeremiah 30:17 (KJV)

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.”

Prayer: Restore my health and heal my wounds, fully, not partway.

Let restoration reach every part this illness has touched.

8. Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Prayer: By Your wounds I am healed, completely, the way this promise describes.

Let this verse be more than partial comfort, let it be complete medicine.

9. Exodus 15:26 (KJV)

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

Prayer: You are the Lord who heals. Let that healing be thorough, the way You intend it.

Let this ancient name cover this whole condition, not just part of it.

10. 3 John 1:2 (KJV)

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Prayer: I pray above all things that I would prosper and be in complete health.

Let this old blessing become fully true, not just mostly true.

11. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Prayer: May You sanctify me through and through, spirit, soul, and body kept whole.

Let healing reach every part this verse names, not just the visible one.

12. Psalms 147:3 (KJV)

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”

Prayer: Heal my broken heart and bind up every wound, completely.

Let nothing be left half-healed.

13. James 5:15 (KJV)

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

Prayer: Let the prayer offered in faith make me well, and let You raise me up fully.

Let faith be part of what carries this all the way to completion.

14. Matthew 12:13 (KJV)

“Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.”

Prayer: Stretch out what’s withered, and let it be completely restored, the way his hand was.

Let restoration be total, not just improved.

15. Mark 3:5 (KJV)

“And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.”

Prayer: Let this be completely restored, the way his hand was completely restored.

Let completely be the actual word that describes this healing.

16. Acts 3:16 (KJV)

“And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

Prayer: Let faith in Your name give this complete healing, the way it did at that temple gate.

Let this healing be as complete and undeniable as his was.

17. Acts 4:9-10 (KJV)

“If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.”

Prayer: Let this man, or this body, be healed completely, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let there be no ambiguity about whether this healing actually happened.

18. Luke 13:12-13 (KJV)

“And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”

Prayer: Let me be set free immediately, straightened up, the way she was after eighteen years.

Let freedom come, even after a long time waiting for it.

19. Psalms 30:2 (KJV)

“O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.”

Prayer: I called to You for help, and You healed me. Let that healing be finished, not ongoing.

Let this be the last time I need to ask for this specific thing.

20. Isaiah 38:16-17 (KJV)

“O LORD, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live. Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.”

Prayer: Restore me to health and let me live, fully, the way You did for Hezekiah.

Let restoration lead all the way back to real, full life.

21. Psalms 41:3 (KJV)

“The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.”

Prayer: Sustain on the sickbed, and restore from this illness completely.

Let restoration be the finish line, not just relief along the way.

22. Malachi 4:2 (KJV)

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”

Prayer: Rise with healing in Your wings, complete, like the sun fully breaking over the night.

Let this healing be as total as sunrise replacing darkness.

23. Psalms 6:2 (KJV)

“Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.”

Prayer: Heal me, Lord, my bones are in agony. Let relief be complete, not just eased.

Let this pain actually end, not just lessen.

24. Numbers 12:13 (KJV)

“And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.”

Prayer: Please, God, heal completely, the way Moses simply and directly asked for Miriam.

Let this simple, direct request be enough.

25. 2 Kings 20:5 (KJV)

“Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”

Prayer: You heard Hezekiah’s prayer and saw his tears, and healed him completely.

Let tears be met with a complete answer, not a partial one.

26. Psalms 107:20 (KJV)

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Prayer: You sent Your word and healed them, rescued them completely from the grave.

Let Your word finish this healing, not just start it.

27. Matthew 4:23-24 (KJV)

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.”

Prayer: You healed every disease and every sickness, completely, among all the people.

Let this condition be counted among what You’re still healing completely today.

28. Romans 8:11 (KJV)

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Prayer: The Spirit who raised Christ from the dead gives complete life to this mortal body too.

Let that same resurrection power finish this work fully.

29. 1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Prayer: By Your wounds I have been healed, completely, already accomplished.

Let what’s already true in the spirit become fully visible in the body.

30. Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Prayer: One day there will be no more pain at all. Let that complete healing give me hope even now.

Let this future promise strengthen my faith for today’s complete healing.

Conclusion

Thirty-eight years is a long time to wait for something that finally arrives all at once, complete, no gradual improvement needed. Sometimes that’s exactly how God chooses to answer.

Ask for the whole thing, not just enough to get by.

For the process when healing takes time instead, a short prayer for healing and recovery is worth reading too.
