    30 Prayer For Release with Scriptures to Back

    Life can sometimes feel heavy, filled with burdens, regrets, or situations that weigh on our hearts and minds. A Prayer for Release is a powerful way to bring these struggles before God, asking Him to lift the weight and grant freedom from what holds us back. Whether it’s emotional pain, past mistakes, or spiritual bondage, this prayer allows us to surrender our worries and trust in His mercy and guidance.

    Through prayer, we find the courage to let go of what we cannot control and the peace to embrace God’s plan for our lives. It is a reminder that true freedom comes from releasing our burdens into His hands, allowing Him to restore, heal, and renew us.     30 Prayer For Release

    1. Psalm 34:17

    “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” (KJV)

    God listens to the cries of the righteous and delivers them from every burden. He is attentive to our struggles and promises liberation from what binds us.

    Lord, I lift my heart to You and ask for Your deliverance. Release me from every weight that holds me captive and fill me with Your peace and freedom.

    2. Isaiah 61:1

    “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” (KJV)

    God’s anointed brings healing to the brokenhearted and liberty to the captives. His power frees those bound by sin, fear, or oppression.

    Father, I pray that Your Spirit move in my life and bring release. Open every prison of my heart and soul and restore me to wholeness.

    3. John 8:36

    “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (KJV)

    True freedom is found in Christ, who releases us from spiritual and emotional bondage. His liberation is complete and transformative.

    Lord Jesus, set me free from all that binds me. May Your freedom empower me to live fully and walk in Your light every day.

    4. Psalm 107:13

    “Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.” (KJV)

    Calling on the Lord brings salvation from every distress. God hears our cries and delivers us when we are most desperate.

    Heavenly Father, I cry out to You for release from all troubles. Save me from the chains that entangle me and guide me into Your peace.

    5. 2 Corinthians 3:17

    “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (KJV)

    God’s Spirit brings liberty wherever He is present. His presence breaks chains and ushers in spiritual freedom.

    Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon me and grant liberty in every area of my life. Free me from every bondage and fill me with Your peace.

    6. Romans 8:2

    “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (KJV)

    Christ releases us from the power of sin and death. Through Him, we experience spiritual freedom and renewal.

    Father, I thank You for the freedom I have in Christ. Release me from every sin, fear, and burden, and help me walk in Your grace.

    7. Psalm 18:2

    “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (KJV)

    God is our stronghold and deliverer, offering protection and security. Trusting Him leads to release from every adversary.

    Lord, be my fortress and deliverer in this time of need. Free me from the pressures that surround me and strengthen my heart in Your presence.

    8. Galatians 5:1

    “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” (KJV)

    Christ grants freedom that we are called to maintain. We must not return to the chains from which He delivered us.

    Lord, help me stand firm in the liberty You have given. Keep me from falling back into bondage and guide me in Your freedom each day.

    9. Isaiah 58:6

    “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” (KJV)

    God desires to break the chains of oppression and lift heavy burdens. He calls us into true release and freedom.

    Heavenly Father, break every yoke in my life. Release me from oppression and lift the burdens weighing on my spirit.

    10. Psalm 118:5

    “I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.” (KJV)

    God answers our calls and delivers us to spaciousness and freedom. His intervention expands our path beyond confinement.

    Lord, I call upon You in my distress. Set me free into Your abundant space and release me from everything that restricts me.

    11. Luke 4:18

    “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” (KJV)

    God’s anointing brings deliverance and liberty to the broken and oppressed. He restores sight and freedom to the captives.

    Lord, anoint me with Your Spirit and set me free from all that binds me. Heal my broken heart and grant liberty to every bruised part of my life.

    12. Psalm 82:3-4

    “Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.” (KJV)

    God defends the oppressed and delivers those in the hands of the wicked. He provides justice and release to the afflicted.

    Father, defend me in my affliction and deliver me from those who oppress me. Let Your justice bring freedom and restoration to my life.

    13. Exodus 14:14

    “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (KJV)

    God fights on our behalf, bringing release from enemies and obstacles. Trusting Him brings calm and assurance in every trial.

    Lord, fight for me against every force that seeks to bind me. Grant me peace and freedom as I rest in Your mighty hand.

    14. Proverbs 3:5-6

    “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (KJV)

    Trusting God leads to guidance and release from confusion and bondage. He directs the path toward freedom.

    Father, I trust You to lead me out of every trap and confusion. Release me from all that restricts me and guide my steps in Your truth.

    15. Psalm 25:16

    “Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.” (KJV)

    God’s mercy restores those who are desolate and afflicted. Seeking Him brings freedom and relief.

    Lord, turn Your mercy upon me and release me from desolation. Heal my afflictions and bring liberty to my soul.

    16. Jeremiah 30:17

    “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord.” (KJV)

    God restores and heals, bringing freedom from pain and brokenness. His power transforms our wounds into wholeness.

    Heavenly Father, restore me and heal every wound in my life. Grant release from emotional, spiritual, and physical burdens.

    17. 1 Peter 5:7

    “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (KJV)

    God invites us to release our burdens to Him, knowing He cares for us. Trusting Him lightens our load.

    Lord, I cast all my cares upon You. Release me from anxiety and worry, and fill me with Your peace and strength.

    18. Psalm 118:14

    “The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.” (KJV)

    God is our strength and salvation, delivering us from captivity. He transforms our struggles into victory.

    Father, be my strength and salvation. Release me from everything that ensnares me and lead me into triumph in Your name.

    19. Isaiah 42:7

    “To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.” (KJV)

    God brings light to the blind and freedom to those in darkness. His power liberates from both spiritual and emotional captivity.

    Lord, open my eyes and release me from the prisons of life. Bring me into Your light and liberty that I may walk in freedom.

    20. Psalm 40:2

    “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” (KJV)

    God lifts us from pits and places our feet on solid ground. His deliverance secures our future path in stability.

    Heavenly Father, lift me from every pit and place me upon the rock of Your truth. Release me from despair and guide me securely in Your ways.

    21. Isaiah 43:2

    “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (KJV)

    God’s presence protects us through trials and danger. He ensures we are released from destruction and harm.

    Lord, be with me through every trial. Release me from the overwhelming waters and fiery trials that threaten my peace and safety.

    22. Psalm 107:6

    “Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.” (KJV)

    God delivers those who cry out in trouble. His salvation releases us from every distress.

    Father, I call upon You in my distress. Deliver me from all burdens and release me into Your peace and safety.

    23. Romans 6:18

    “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.” (KJV)

    Freedom from sin leads to a life of righteousness. God releases us from bondage and empowers us to live in His will.

    Lord, free me from all sin and wrongdoing. Release me into righteousness and help me walk in Your light each day.

    24. 2 Samuel 22:20

    “He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.” (KJV)

    God brings us into spaciousness as a sign of His delight. His deliverance grants freedom and joy.

    Father, bring me into a large place of freedom. Release me from every confinement and let me rejoice in Your deliverance.

    25. Psalm 40:1

    “I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.” (KJV)

    God hears those who wait and cry out to Him. Patience in Him leads to ultimate release.

    Lord, hear my cry and release me from every burden. Incline Your ear to my prayers and grant me freedom in Your perfect timing.

    26. Isaiah 49:9

    “That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.” (KJV)

    God commands freedom for the imprisoned and the oppressed. He leads them to abundance and safety.

    Father, let me go forth from every prison of life. Release me from darkness and lead me to Your high places of peace and joy.

    27. John 10:9

    “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (KJV)

    Jesus is the door to salvation and freedom. Through Him, we find nourishment and release from captivity.

    Lord Jesus, I enter through You into freedom and salvation. Release me from all that confines me and lead me to Your pasture of peace.

    28. Psalm 31:5

    “Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.” (KJV)

    God redeems and delivers us into His care. Surrendering to Him brings ultimate release.

    Lord, I commit my spirit into Your hands. Redeem me from every bondage and set me free in Your truth and love.

    29. Galatians 5:13

    “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” (KJV)

    God calls us to liberty, to live free from bondage in love. Freedom is meant to serve and glorify Him.

    Father, help me live in the liberty You have given. Release me from chains and guide me to serve others in love and freedom.

    30. Revelation 3:7

    “These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;” (KJV)

    Jesus holds the key to open doors of freedom and shut doors of bondage. His authority grants ultimate release.

    Lord Jesus, I pray that You open every door of freedom in my life. Release me from captivity, and let no chain remain unbroken in Your mighty name.

    Conclusion

    In conclusion, a prayer for release is a meaningful way to surrender burdens, worries, or past hurts to God. It invites His healing, freedom, and peace into areas of life where we feel trapped or overwhelmed.
