    30 Prayer to Repent For Sins With Scriptures to Back

    A prayer to repent for sins is a sincere response to God’s invitation to turn away from sin and return to Him with a humble heart. Repentance is more than expressing regret.

    The Bible teaches that God is gracious, compassionate, and ready to forgive those who confess their sins.

    Prayer to Repent For Sins

    1. 1 John 1:9 (ESV)

    If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    Heavenly Father, I confess my sins before You. Please forgive me and cleanse my heart. Amen.

    God faithfully forgives everyone who sincerely confesses their sins. His mercy brings cleansing and a fresh beginning.

    His mercy brings forgiveness. Faith returns home.

    2. Psalm 51:10 (ESV)

    Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
