30 Prayer for Health and Protection With Scriptures to Back

“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water,” God told Israel through Moses, “I will take away sickness from among you.” The promise paired two things together, health and protection from harm, as if one naturally belonged with the other.

These thirty verses hold that same pairing, ordinary physical health and real protection from what could threaten it. For health prayed over on its own, a prayer for health is worth praying alongside this one.

Pray these regularly, as ongoing maintenance, not only when something has already gone wrong.

Prayer for Health and Protection

1. Exodus 23:25-26 (KJV)

“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.”

Prayer: Bless my food and water, and take sickness away from me, giving me a full lifespan.

Let this promise cover both my everyday health and my long-term protection.

2. Psalms 91:9-10 (KJV)

“Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”

Let this protection cover my health, not just my safety.

Let this be many more good, healthy years still ahead.

Prayer: Take away from me every kind of sickness.

Let this promise cover whatever’s currently threatening my health.

5. 3 John 1:2 (KJV)

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Prayer: I pray that I may prosper and be in good health, just as my soul is getting along well.

Let health and spiritual life grow together, not separately.

6. Psalms 103:2-5 (KJV)

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Prayer: Let me not forget Your benefits, who heals all my diseases and renews my strength like the eagle’s.

Let renewal, not just protection, mark my health.

7. Exodus 15:26 (KJV)

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

Prayer: You are the Lord who heals me. Let that be true of both my health and safety.

Let this be something I actually experience, not just recite.

“Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. Let fear about my body lose its grip on me today.

Conclusion

God’s promise to Israel wasn’t split into two separate categories, health over here, protection over there. It came as one connected blessing, provision for the body woven together with safety from harm. Praying for both together reflects that same wholeness.

Pray this over your body specifically today, naming any current concern by name.

For a fuller stand of protection over your whole life, a strong prayer for protection is worth praying alongside this one.
